A Modern Royal Wedding: Meghan & Harry

With the Royal Wedding coming up in just a few short days, we're celebrating the countdown to the big event with our top picks for Meghan Markle to wear before and after her vows with Prince Harry.

Our fascination with Royal Wedding's is nothing new, but this time around we're even more excited as the future Duchess is an American actress that brings a breath of fresh air to the British Royal Monarchy.

The anticipation surrounding Meghan's bridal look has been building since the engagement was officially announced, and now that the Daily Mail confirmed her dress designers are Ralph & Russo, we can't help but imagine what we'll see when the gown is revealed.

As we've seen with Royal Wedding's past, the bride-to-be is encouraged to choose a gown that represents her time, rather than create a timeless look. Princess Diana's wedding gown is now as iconic as Lady Di herself, while her style inspired a generation.

Her wedding dress was a closely guarded secret, just like Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Inspired by Grace Kelly's stunning traditional Helen Rose wedding gown, the Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle in the most elegant Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen custom wedding gown made of exquisite French lace.

Meghan is also likely to wear a piece from Princess Diana's jewelry collection as her "something borrowed" when she walks down the aisle at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Meghan's style is modern and trend-driven. It has evolved so much in the last couple years, with the help of her best friend-stylist Jessica Mulroney, who will be by Meghan's side during the wedding as her bridesmaid.

We can't wait to see Meghan's unique touches weaved into her bridal look!

Luckily, we've already gotten a sneak peek into what she looks like in a wedding dress! In Season 5 of Suits, Meghan's character wore an Anne Barge gown and looked absolutely gorgeous. While she mentioned that it was more "her character's look than her own," she did love the "ballerina inspired neckline."

With that in mind, we put together a list of our favorite pieces for Meghan!

Fit for a princess with gold French lace and crafted in pure silk, the Tara is very demure and provides coverage and modesty that the Royals are well known for.

While the ivory leans towards a more traditional bridal look, we think Meghan would fall for the blush pink version with golden sleeves, which is more modern and trendy.

Did you know we offer a pair of French lace gloves made of the same lace used on Kate Middleton's wedding dress!?

Every princess needs a crown, and we just love this antique gold mini crown with flowers adorned with Swarovski crystals by Maria Elena Headpieces.

Bella Belle said it best that their "classic and chic Anita heel would be a perfect fit with Meghan's style: simple, classic, and feminine"

We know how much Meghan loves capes and we can picture her wearing our Silk tulle cape for her wedding night or after party!

The Godiva has the loveliest waterfall drape that is fun and oh-so-luxurious, finished with hand-cut Alencon French lace we think Harry will love!

The pair seems to have so much fun together and be very adventurous.

We are so excited to for the big reveal on Saturday and look forward to all the festivities surrounding Meghan and Harry's nuptials.

Cheers to Love and Royal Weddings!

Xo,

Anita
