Girl & a Serious Dream for Ralph & Russo Spring Summer 2019 Couture Show

2019 has been a busy, yet fun year for us. One of our favorite highlights was our collaboration with Ralph and Russo SS19 Couture Fashion Show.

Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo’s couture label is the only British design house accredited by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and the first British label to have shown at Paris Couture Week.

For this special event, the Ralph & Russo team handpicked our Samantha silk robes to gift to their fashion show guests in Paris earlier this year!

It's always a joy to collaborate with brands who share the same savoir-faire values of traditional craftsmanship, creativity and innovation.

What we love about Haute Couture is that it starts with a vision and always ends with a masterpiece. This type of craftsmanship requires exceptional attention to detail, the delicacy of understanding fabric manipulation, and the high-level technical ability to create what was once just an abstract idea into a tangible piece.

We are grateful to collaborate with such talented artisans that invested the time to hone in on their craft, inspiring us to do the same.

Ralph and Russo truly know how to make women feel special and it was an honor to help them pamper their guests with our Samantha silk robes.

Chic and timeless. Our Samantha robes are versatile and comfortable, made of 100% silk and designed to be cherished for years to come.

You can count on it's effortless fit and soft touch, you'll never want to take it off!

Perfect as loungewear or worn over your favorite outfits as a chic alternative kimono blouse.

Embrace what make you feel beautiful....

A Modern Royal Wedding: Meghan & Harry

With the Royal Wedding coming up in just a few short days, we're celebrating the countdown to the big event with our top picks for Meghan Markle to wear before and after her vows with Prince Harry.

Our fascination with Royal Wedding's is nothing new, but this time around we're even more excited as the future Duchess is an American actress that brings a breath of fresh air to the British Royal Monarchy.

The anticipation surrounding Meghan's bridal look has been building since the engagement was officially announced, and now that the Daily Mail confirmed her dress designers are Ralph & Russo, we can't help but imagine what we'll see when the gown is revealed.

As we've seen with Royal Wedding's past, the bride-to-be is encouraged to choose a gown that represents her time, rather than create a timeless look. Princess Diana's wedding gown is now as iconic as Lady Di herself, while her style inspired a generation.

Her wedding dress was a closely guarded secret, just like Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Inspired by Grace Kelly's stunning traditional Helen Rose wedding gown, the Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle in the most elegant Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen custom wedding gown made of exquisite French lace.

Meghan is also likely to wear a piece from Princess Diana's jewelry collection as her "something borrowed" when she walks down the aisle at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Meghan's style is modern and trend-driven. It has evolved so much in the last couple years, with the help of her best friend-stylist Jessica Mulroney, who will be by Meghan's side during the wedding as her bridesmaid.

We can't wait to see Meghan's unique touches weaved into her bridal look!

Luckily, we've already gotten a sneak peek into what she looks like in a wedding dress! In Season 5 of Suits, Meghan's character wore an Anne Barge gown and looked absolutely gorgeous. While she mentioned that it was more "her character's look than her own," she did love the "ballerina inspired neckline."

With that in mind, we put together a list of our favorite pieces for Meghan!

Fit for a princess with gold French lace and crafted in pure silk, the Tara is very demure and provides coverage and modesty that the Royals are well known for.

While the ivory leans towards a more traditional bridal look, we think Meghan would fall for the blush pink version with golden sleeves, which is more modern and trendy.

Did you know we offer a pair of French lace gloves made of the same lace used on Kate Middleton's wedding dress!?

Every princess needs a crown, and we just love this antique gold mini crown with flowers adorned with Swarovski crystals by Maria Elena Headpieces.

Bella Belle said it best that their "classic and chic Anita heel would be a perfect fit with Meghan's style: simple, classic, and feminine"

We know how much Meghan loves capes and we can picture her wearing our Silk tulle cape for her wedding night or after party!

The Godiva has the loveliest waterfall drape that is fun and oh-so-luxurious, finished with hand-cut Alencon French lace we think Harry will love!

The pair seems to have so much fun together and be very adventurous.

We are so excited to for the big reveal on Saturday and look forward to all the festivities surrounding Meghan and Harry's nuptials.

Cheers to Love and Royal Weddings!

Anita

A Breathtaking Maternity Session by Elizabeth Messina

There's nothing more exciting than announcing something new is coming...

Whether it's your engagement, anniversary, vow renewals, or pregnancy, couples face so many wonderful and exciting moments together.

During Mother's Day weekend, we were thrilled to find out about the lovely Chriselle Lim's pregnancy reveal on her blog The Chriselle Factor.

She announced the big news with a breathtaking maternity session photographed by Elizabeth Messina in her gorgeous home studio.

She shares on her blog, "I’ve always wanted to do a beautiful portrait shoot semi-naked with my growing belly but never had the guts to do so when I was pregnant with Chloe...but this time I feel so different about my body and who knows if we’ll have a third one! I feel full of life and beautiful with my growing belly and body."

In addition to her stunning Valentino gown, Chriselle wore our Swan Queen French lace long dressing robeCrafted in floor-sweeping French lace in the loveliest shade of ivory, Chriselle looked absolutely sublime while showcasing her 5-month baby bump.

The details in our Swan Queen gown were beautifully captured on film and weaved together effortlessly with the ethereal mood of Chriselle's maternity shoot.

The Swan Queen gown was designed to showcase the feminine silhouette with a thoughtfully arranged floral design and delicate scalloped edges running from neckline to train.

The neutral colors and textures of textiles like tulle and lace allow Chriselle's expressions to shine through.

And we just adore the calm and serene nature of this maternity shoot and Elizabeth Messina's incredible eye for love and motherhood.

We absolutely love when our real brides wear their Girl&aSeriousDream robes and gowns for their intimate maternity sessions.

It's truly an honor to make something special to wear for those magical moments that call for something extraordinary.

Wishing Chriselle and her family all the best.

Bridal Session Wedding Day Inspiration

We're swooning over this wedding day sessionbeautifully captured on film by Kyle John.

The natural light-filled room, airy, elegant mood and intimate nature of a bride on her big day are beautifully weaved together to create one unforgettable wedding story.

A bridal session is such a fine way to celebrate the love a bride feels for her groom and the sweet anticipation before she walks down the aisle.

She is radiant, effortlessly elegant, and oh-so-gorgeous in a Dove grey Alexandra Grecco gown worn
with our French lace Roseline blusher veil.

The loveliest atmosphere is created around the bride by the veil's fingertip length, while the floral lace edge adds a classic touch. Cut from the most exquisite French lace and Italian tulles,
our Veils are inspired by European bridal heirlooms and architecture.

We love to celebrate our brides by crafting the pieces they dream to wear while standing out
for their modern silhouettes and beautiful laces.

Ireland Heirloom Wedding Inspiration

An heirloom wedding is one we hold close to our hearts, as we are strong believers in embracing the treasures that have been passed down through generations.

Our friend Pamela Barefoot thoughtfully curated a glimpse into the past by incorporating her own cherished heirlooms into this stunning wedding session, beautifully photographed by Amelia Johnson.

Every detail evokes a feeling of nostalgia while capturing the sweet anticipation from inside the bride's boudoir to the intimate moments alone with her groom against the breathtaking Irish countryside.

The bride wore our Juliet French Lace Robe. Elegant by nature, the Juliet robe was designed to be a cherished treasure for years to come.

Handmade from exquisite French leavers lace, we handpicked for its delicate florals and lined in soft tulle for an ethereal look.
