Real wedding: An elegant outdoor Wyoming wedding

Surrounded by distant mountains and grassy hills, unbelievably tall trees and a crystal clear lake, the natural beauty of the wide, open space was the perfect backdrop for this bright and sunny celebration. These images by Shawn Connell for Christian Oth Studio perfectly capture the gorgeous landscape, impeccable style, and attention to detail of the Caruso-Fenty wedding featured in Brides magazine. The weather couldn't have been better for them, and it truly brought together this black tie affair with their outdoor-chic style.

While getting ready, Catherine wore our Swan Queen bridal lace and silk robe, which was given to her as a gift from her mother. Dressed in delicate Chantilly lace with a silk chiffon lining, the Swan Queen robe set the mood for Catherine and her bridesmaids as the moment approached to walk down the aisle and meet her groom-to-be. Her smile shined with anticipation as she put on the Aquamarine earrings her husband gave her, and the antique cameo brooch her grandmother gave her to fulfill her "something old." Once dressed in her stunning Vera Wang Hilary lace mermaid gown, she was ready to venture outside with her groom and feel the uplifting air of endless possibility...

Featured in Brides magazine, we are so thankful for the love and support from our lovely brides, mothers of the bride, grooms, bridesmaids, editors and friends. A special Thank you to Mallory from Christian Oth Studio who send me these gorgeous images.

Featured in Brides Magazine!

I'm very excited to share that last week I learned that a lovely bride wearing our Swan Queen Lace & Silk robe was featured in the current issue of Brides magazine! It's such a delight to have Catherine and Brian's wedding photographed by Shawn Connell for Christian Oth Studio featured on the real wedding section of Brides magazine October/November 2013 edition.

By coincidence, my bride-to-be sister was flipping through Brides magazine in search for ideas for her upcoming wedding, when she came across the real weddings section featuring Catherine wearing our getting ready bridal robe! We love how elegant and effortless beautiful she looked in her wedding day!

Brides magazine is an excellent resource for planning a gorgeous wedding, and they always feature the most inspiring weddings and fashion, so I was more than thrilled to have one of my handmade pieces featured. Brides revel in having their wedding vision become a reality, and by reflecting pieces real brides wear and cherish, Brides magazine has truly captured the honor and joy I put into everything I create.

 Thank you Brides magazine!

More details coming soon!

A winter wedding featured on Style me pretty

With the arrival of the cool winter weather, this wedding-planner bride embraced the changing of seasons, and the snowy Colorado surroundings, to illuminate the serene mood of this gorgeous wintry wedding.

All captured by the talented Laura Murray, this wintertime wedding beautifully emulated a bright, romantic warmth even the first snow couldn't mute.

From the natural landscape to the beauty and elegance of the bride: I love all the details and the unique styling of this winter wedding! Wearing a custom made Swan Queen robe lined in ivory silk chiffon and delicate chantilly lace truly started the morning off right by adding an air of calm and grace to the bride's special day.

Getting-ready for the big day can be one of the most exciting and emotional times for a bride. Inspired by my own wedding, lace and florals,
I designed The Odette French Lace and Silk Bridal Robe to be a special heirloom...a memory in itself, of the lush elegance a bride embraces on her wedding day.

Made one by one, this handmade Bridal Robe makes a stunning getting-ready look, and is a delicate reminder of your special day long after the vows have been made...

Handmade from French Lace with a nude silk-chiffon lining, bell flared sleeves, high neck, scalloped neckline and completed with a silk sash. This kimono - robe will set the mood from the time you wake up, to the moment you step into your wedding dress. Perfect for a bride while gets ready, as a luxe wedding day jacket/cover up or during her honeymoon. It can also be lined in other colors like off-white, blush, baby blue, or come unlined.

Oh, February! Gift guide for Valentine's day and other celebrations

This is the time of the year that I enjoy the most. Why do I love February? Well, February is the month Valentine's Day falls on--which does happen to be the anniversary of my wedding proposal--but it's my favorite because the entire month exudes passion and romance as the anticipation of the coming Spring grows. Love is truly in the air this month!

Also, my birthday is on Feb 29 (yeah, no birthday this year...but the perfect excuse for a entire weekend celebration!)

A few lovely links:

1.Silk by Bryony digital printed scarf. Oooooh...silk & cherry blossoms...what a perfect combination. I've been dreaming of this scarf; hopefully, it'll make it to my closet this month!

2. Oh my stars, I love you print--I love this beautiful, hand-lettered print by Kelly Cummings via Southern wedding-the shop. It's so pretty and will make a lovely gift for Valentines day or any special occasion.

3. I'm daydreaming of a beach weekend, and maybe it's because it's summer in my beloved hometown. The Honolulu bikini pictured in jungle berry is my new favorite from Marysia swim. Marysia has quickly become one of my favorite swimsuit designers. I have to share with you that their suits have an incredible fit (most important thing to me when it comes to swim suits), the quality of their fabrics is amazing, and their designs are so unique! I currently own a one piece and two bikinis and I have to say that I adore them and hope I can add more to my collection soon.

4. I can't wait to try the new Valentina Assoluto. It is inspired by the floral notes of the original Valentina perfume from 2011, but this one is "much more nocturnal, and more seductive."  I love the dreamy silhouette of the bottle.

5. How cute is this brushed rose leather pouch from Ann-ya? I love the abstract pink print and the simple, yet interesting design of this must-have clutch.

6. These chic Chloe ballet flats are one of a kind. I own them and they are the most comfortable shoes ever and the cutest too. They have become a wardrobe essential to me. They really turn heads.

7. The First Date Silk scalloped blouse in off white is one of my favorite designs. It has a vintage-yet-modern look in a flattering silhouette in a must have color.

What are your favorite gifts?

Watercolor - Ombre wedding theme

I always loved the look of watercolor, also known in French as aquarelle. The soft patterns and all the varying shades of colors that blend well together have that romantic dream-like appeal.

Ombre is a french word meaning shade or shadow that represents the appearance of tones, with colors graduating from light to dark. It’s a simple concept but with a dramatic impression. It has a watercolor feel that adds to it’s spectacular interest and charm.

Ombre is a unique and fun way to play with color, so it's no surprise that today's brides are embracing it as a wedding trend. A romantic subtle ombre design can always add the perfect touch of elegance to a wedding.
